Best blogs, best bloggers, best posts

So rebillious Arab Girl came up with another rebellious idea, that being blogging about our favorite bloggers, and chose the 27th of October as an official day for the that. This short notice reminded me of the Most Awesome posts in the Jordanian blogs initiative I started few weeks ago, where bloggers were asked to submit their favorite posts. I thought it's probably time we wrapped it up, and I decided to post the nominated posts along with my favorite bloggers post. So, if you have any posts you want to nominate, submit them before the 27th of October to blogobest@gmail.com

P.S: It's not about "the best" blogs out there so much as it's about those that were favorited by bloggers. Memorable posts that someone took the trouble of digging them up and submitting them as favorites

World's Oldest Blogger Turns 108

Here technorati spiders, here... Technorati Profile :D

Back to the world's oldest blogger. She's Olive Riley from Australia. I always wondered what will happen to my blog if I aged. Will it turn into a deserted nondescript personal page of no interest to anyone? Or will I be blogging till the last breath?

101 most awesome posts in the Jordanian blogs

The other day I watched a show called "101 most awesome moments in entertainment", a show that celebrated some of the most acclaimed, famous, glamorous, overwhelming, fascinating moments in the history of entertaiment. After watching the show, my mind kept beating around a certain idea, till it finally came clear. Bloggerizing is the word!

It occurred to me that, since the Jordanian blogoshpere has blossomed with such a rich variety of blogs and thousands of blogposts, coming from a large number of promising Jordanian bloggers, so why not celebrate them by choosing our 101 most awesome posts in the Jordanian blogs?

Of course, the word "Awesome" has no specific or restricted connotation here. It could mean great, funny, impressive, eloquent, bold, informative, you name it! Any post that made an impression on you as a person, or made a stir in the blogosphere as a whole. Consequently, there's no specific category. The posts can be about anything from politics to daily adventures.

Since we have such a huge number of posts and blogs, then it's fair enough that we don't restrict the number to 101. And since blogging is such a thriving industry, we can rename this to be "Most Awesome Posts in The Jordanian Blogs (2004-2007)"

You might argue that it's hard to remember those good posts, but that's the point! We're looking for the memorable ones that stick to the memory and stand out among the others.

I also have to make it clear that this is not a competition or something, so there will be no specific order of posts. It's rather a way to acknowledge Jordanian bloggers and the effort they put on their blogs and posts. A celebration of Jordanian blogging world if you will.  Moreover, it's a way to re-document these awesome posts, especially for those who didn't have the chance to read them before. You may also think about it as a way of promoting interaction in the Jordanian blogging realm and getting to know more bloggers more closely.

Of course, this also includes non-Jordanian bloggers in the Jordanian blogosphere, since many of them are as Jordanian as any other Jordanian blogger.

Now, how will the posts be chosen?

The ones who are going to make the decisions are bloggers themselves as well as blog readers. You can choose as many posts as you want, and submit them to this email: blogobest@gmail.com, providing the link to the post or, in case you couldn't find the link or too lazy to do it, write the blog's name and post title or any keywords you can remember from the post.

I don't need to remind you that it's not personal, it's not about who wrote the post, but the post itself.

If you have any questions or comments don't hesitate to post them here. And ah, one more thing, if you're wondering about the #1 most awesome moment in entertainment, it was "Beatles arrive to the US"…

Waiting for your feedback! I already have some posts in my mind…
