This car has been parked in our street for 2 days. I don't know why I felt an urge to blog it! Try to imagine what could possibly have happened! As far as I know the driver was not seriuosly injured.

) that I went back and made an intentional typing mistake... and again!
but the second time I repeated the mistake I got a new msg

Being a 4th year student, I have observed some annoying scenarios during thise years... Many things got and still get on my nerves! such as...
1- Students begging professors all the time for different things, or giving them excuses why they didn't do well in the exam. Ok, you're a university student, you are a grown up, you have to assume responsibility over your mistakes, so why don't these students stop doing this and learn to bear the consequences of their actions?
2- Students complaining about professors, and I daresay good professors, all the time! What do you want? This is not high school where teachers used to stuff information in our heads! We need professors, not crammers! Learn to depend on yourself!
3- The level of some 4th year students is so disappointing! How are they going to graduate! Why did they persue somethign they are not willing/able to keep up with? What's the benefit of graduating without feeling that you are accomplished at your specialization?
4- The way modern languages students are underestimated. I mean that some people think that those who study English literature have a better command in English than we do. Why! That's a very unfair presupposition!
I wish we will reach a level of self-awarness, maturity and independence, where we may have ambitions bigger than getting a certificate no matter how!

How do I start!
I've been longing for such a trip for so long... Not only that it was my first time to visit Aqaba, but also that it was with the family, the big family I mean! and that what made it really fun!

And here's the flag of the Great Arab revolution... My cousin, when a child, used to think that it was the flag of Aqaba
The flag is much bigger than it looks in the picture...
The flag is much bigger than it looks in the picture...
A stroll in Aqaba streets made me see more and more how beautiful the city is...

Marine crafts!

The food also was great!

I7m, no not irrelevant... But I couldn't resist getting some of these fridge magnets, arn't they the cutest ever?

The pics still fall short of the reality! I really had fun, and discovered new things about the sea, things you can't learn by visiting the dead sea! One of them is that the smell of the sea water is not so pleasant!
Still, The sea is one of the best things one can behold in the world... so beautiful yet so intimidating, so calm and yet full of mystries...

Well, well, well! This has been a point of dispute between me and some people lately...
As I'm coursing my hopefully last semester, I've already started thinking of the next step... A job.
Actually, I took the first step last semester, not so willingly though. How? here you go...
Suzan, a colleague of mine came to me one morning and asked me if I would like to get a job at translation in a renowned company. Having already worked in that domain, I was not so encouraged, but I was flattered by her recommending me to her boss though we didn't know each other very well. Encouraged by friends and family, and ashamed to disappoint the girl in our first time to deal with each other, I went to the company.
I met the boss, and he told me that I should pass a training period at first (which I was well aware of, having learned the details from Suzan) and that after the training period I could be hired aytomatically.
I was taken by the atmosphere, it seemed like a real job! the offices and stuff... So I decided to give it a shot!
It was only for 3 days, and for about 3 hours only aday! As short a period as it may seem, I couldn't bear it any longer! And my previous notions were confirmed: I hate office work!
You know, sitting in the same chair for several hours, focusing on the monitor, and doing what? translating! well, it might seem enjoyable fo rsome of you, but for me it was bordom itself!
Soon after I quit, people went like: WHY? some would blame me for missing out on such an opprounity. They even tried to persuade me to take that job temporarily till I find the job I want. But what if I got stuck in that career?! Why would I deplete my energy on somethign I don't like!
Almost everyone gave me the same reaction, except my cousin, Nadia, who could very well identify with the situation... she only shook her head and said: I know what you mean, I've been there! 3 months at a design office, having people telling you what to draw and what colors to use... they just kill the creativity in you! She really encouraged me to stay firm in y determination to go for what I want in life...
What do I want in life? Well, I don't want a job where I have to sit there all day and deal with papers and figures. I want interaction, I want to deal with minds, with people... I want to move move move! I always thought about teaching, a very noble job, especially that we need more teachers that teach because they love to teach, not because that is the only job they could get!
My dreams go way farther than this actually, but don't want to be hasty... one step at a time!
88% encoding... well, that is one reason why I wrote this post, waiting for a CD to copy =) It's taking forever! Nighty...

Well, I know that this has become a typical story but I couldn't wait to post it as soon as I got home. Some people seem to be running out of shame! It's getting more annoying as it continues to happen everywhere...
I was coming in the bus, sitting in the aisle chair and beside me, in the window chair another girl was seated. Suddenly in the middle of the way, the girl shifted in her place, I thought she wanted to get off the bus, but then she resettled in her seat.
Everything seemed quite natural till she asked me to shift a little to the right, I thought she wanted to get off so I jumped of the seat, but she immediatly explained that she only wnats me to shift a bit to the right in order to make room for her to get away from the window. I started to have suspicions, partially confirmed by the uneasiness and confusion of the girl... and by her pulling the drapes away from her, furiously...
Having my doubts, I stole glances at the person sitting behind us and, as I suspected, it was a guy... A man actually, as I could see when I was leaving the bus.
Well, you know the rest!

إيران تعلن أنها أصبحت ثامن دولة في العالم تمتلك تقنية تخصيب اليورانيوم
آغازاده : إيران نجحت في تخصيب اليورانيوم إلى المستوى الضروري لإنتاج الوقود النووي
If the US justified their invasion of Iraq by the WMD pretext, how much more will they use a similar pretext to invade Iran?

European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility .
As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as "Euro-English".
In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy.
The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k". This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter.
There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f". This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.
In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible.
Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.
Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent "e" in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away.
By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing "th" with "z" and "w" with "v".
During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary "o" kan be dropd from vords kontaining "ou" and after ziz fifz yer, ve vil hav a reil sensi bl riten styl.
Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and evrivun vil find it ezi tu understand ech oza. Ze drem of a united urop vil finali kum tru.
Und efter ze fifz yer, ve vil al be speking German like zey vunted in ze forst plas.

LOOOL! This reminded me of what G.B. Shaw did once, in a way to criticise the unnecessary twists in English written sounds... He said: Ok, if it is so, then I want to write fish as ghoti... GH is pronounced /f/ as in enough, O is pronounced /i/ as in women and TI is pronounced /sh/ as in nation...
Now, if someone who has never read an English word, and doesn't know anything about English, and he was given these words to read:
People, Caesar, seize, clean, meet...
How on earth would he assume that eo, ae, ei, ea, ee... all stand for the same vowel sound /i/?? isn't that "3awaj", or what?

The greatest poem ever known
Is one all poets have outgrown:
The poetry, innate, untold,
Of being only four years old.
