Books & books

So on Thursday I got my salary, and on Friday I was at Prime Mega Stores, going on a bookish spree... Oh my God! I felt like a kid in candy store... Allthese bookd can make you go dizzy, but you know the budget and rationale limit your choice to a few ones mal5oom not that I'm gonna read them all this month of course, but I couldn't resist getting them RIGHT NOW!

The first one is A child called "it" by Dave Pelzer. I don't exactly recall where I heard about that books, read about it or if it was recommended to me by somebody, but when I saw it some bell rang in my mind and I had that vague memory about this book being an interesting one... If I like it I will feature it here in sha'a Allah.

As for the second book, I finally got Don Quixote de la Mancha Horsier by Miguel de Cervantes... I got it in English though, not Spanish... Frankly, I want to enjoy the book, Spanish can wait! It's a very long book, but I am so thrilled to read it, and I hope I will be able to review it here... some day!

And the last one, a book I couldn't resist... It's an Arabic book, The complete works of Ghassan Kanafani/the short stories, (the second volume). I like short stories, and I like Ghassan Kanfani's work... so here we go!

Well, maybe this is not worth mentioning, but I also bought 2 of my favorite things: a hanbag, and a scarf! Happy a torqoise scarf... I love torqoise! And I had soemthing very delicious, watched a crappy movie... but it was funny, like watching Sasooki :D Though it was supposed tobe a thriller, Woooooh! What else? Yeah I slept over at my uncle's houseand had a good time with my cousins. Aaaand that was my not-so-weekly weekend report...
Have a nice and productive week everyone!love shower

You have a taste in books. I like Ghassan so much. I can't stop re-reading him. I can give you an adivise about another one... Try Ibrahim Nasrallah. Start with (6efel Al-mem7ah). You can find some pages of his novel (Zaytoon Ashware3 in my blog) I guess you've read it.

The first book looks nice even though I have no idea what it is :D is it a novel or what?
The second reminds me of a cartoon we used to watch long ago! Is it the same :sc:?
The third is nice, I read a few short stories by him! And one which is long (not that long though) but I didn’t like it at all! Or it was nice but I didn’t like the way he ended it, I’ve been told that his short stories are great, so start with his book and tell me whether you like it or not :-o:

Mabrook el scarf wel handbag! You were wearing torquoise the day I saw you :P

I saw memoirs of Geisha bardoh, but maybe because it was made into a movie w I knew about the movie first I wasn't encouraged to get it. Tell me if you like it!

Mais: Yes, I will in sha'a Allah as soon as I finish it, but I can't start it till I finish the book in hand, which I've been reading since, I don't know august or september maybe :s

Ranooosh, I read Memoirs of a Geisha, it's really a good book, I enjoyed it. Did any of u watch the movie? Do u recommend it?
I mean eza kan ma2lab like many of the movies that were based on novels I'm not gonna watch it.
Now I'm reading Love in the Time of Cholera, Gabriel Marquez, I remember that Rana recommended it once.
